Brown (Striped) Basilisk (Basiliscus vittatus) juvenile

This alert diurnal lizard belongs to the few species that can actually run on 2 legs - dinosaur style. When running full speed, it can even cross over a water surface without sinking. This particular trick has earned the basilisk a nickname Jesus Christ Lizard. As you can appreciate in this video clip, when motionless, the Brown Basilisk is a master in hiding.
