San Blas Jay (Cyanocorax sanblasianus), vocalizing juveniles

This black and blue jay is endemic to W Mexico. It can be found only along the Pacific coast from Nayarit to Guerrero.
In adults, eyes are yellowish, bill black and legs dull yellow. In Juveniles eyes are brown and bill yellowish.
Both adults and juveniles posses an erectile crest which is longer in younger birds. Crest can be held flattened and thus sometimes invisible.
This species is always seen in family groups composed of adults and juveniles. Their loud vocalizing and assertive behavior makes them easy to spot and fun to observe.
